The true bargain for starting up or expanding your PowerCore based audio workstation!
PowerCore Element is not a stripped down hardware version of the "old" PowerCore PCI - it includes exactly the same PCI hardware as the PowerCore PCI card. A splendid set of TC quality plug-ins are included, covering reverb, dynamics, EQ, amp simulation, synthesis and much more. PowerCore Element is the ideal and affordable solution for those entering the PowerCore world or an excellent addition to those PowerCore owners seeking to boost their system even more.
Fill up your virtual racks with rackmount-quality processors right out of the box: lush TC-quality reverbs, smooth chorus/delay, vintage compression, de-essing, a complete vocal processing channel, mastering EQ and even a virtual analog Synthesizer. On top of that you can pick your favorite tools from the growing number of optional plug-ins from TC Electronic and 3rd party developers.
PowerCore PCI provides you with 4 industry standard Motorola DSPs and a PowerPC™. This unique configuration transforms any VST- or Audio Units-compatible software into a professional audio workstation. Run up to 28 Vintage Compressors, or 8 MegaReverbs or any combination of the included studio-quality effects without maxing out your computer's resources. All DSP processing is performed on the card and the user interface only requires minimal resources.
Pick any sequencer or audio application - as long as it supports VST or Audio Units FX plug-ins (to use PowerCore instruments, the application must additionally support VST/AU instruments).
PowerCore functions with all I/O systems supported by your application, making it the perfect addition to almost any existing system. (Check that your I/O card system doesn't require ALL of the existing PCI bandwidth.)
Up To 4
Up to 4 cards may be used simultaneously in one system, though each card provides you with so much power that you probably won't need that. In fact, with 4 cards you can go as far as has having a Master X3 on every track in a 32-track production.
September, 2017: Discontinuing support for PowerCore
Back in 2011 we ceased further development of the PowerCore platform.
Although we have been doing no official development with regard to the PowerCore software itself, for almost 7 years we have however been maintaining the PowerCore account system, and provided customer support for PowerCore users.
As we are reorganizing our server infrastructure as well as human resources, we have come to the conclusion that we cannot continue our current support of the PowerCore infrastructure.
Therefore, on December 31st 2017, we will discontinue:
- The PowerCore account system
- Customer support for PowerCore
After December 31st 2017 it will no longer be possible to log into your PowerCore account to register products, transfer licenses etc. and we will no longer be providing customer support for the platform.
There is of course nothing that prevents users from using their current PowerCore system, also, we will keep the PowerCore forum running.
TC Electronic will continue to focus on music production and mastering, and we will be providing revolutionary solutions in these fields moving forward.
Future development of the PowerCore platform has ceased
As part of a larger strategic review in early 2011, we decided to cease further development of the PowerCore product range, including hardware units as well as software for the PowerCore platform.
With the most recent software release, PowerCore is compatible with the following operating systems:
- Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
- Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
The PowerCore drivers support 64-bit operating systems, but note that all plug-ins are 32-bit.
